McCain gets his Dates Mixed Up... Again

McCain said the following in an Interview with Sean Hannity about Ronald Reagan:

McCAIN: You and I are both students of history and we’ve seen this movie before. When Ronald Reagan stood up for the workers in Gdansk in Poland, when he stood up for the people of Czechoslovakia, in Prague Spring, and America did. And some good Democrats did, too.

The problem is, Prague Spring happened in early 1968. Reagan did not become President until 1981. Reagan was politically active in 1968, he was the governor of California. I still, though, do not believe he had much to do with Prague Spring.

Maybe he is getting his Foreign Relations advice from Sara Palin?
