Piyush "Bobby" Jindal to Louisiana Unemployed: Drop Dead

In a famous historical episode, President Gerald Ford denied New York City federal aid at a time it desperately needed it. New York's Daily News responded to Ford's decision like this:

Well, not to be outdone by unpopular mediocre presidents of the 1970's, Louisiana Governor Piyush "Bobby" Jindal has decided to reject $90 million given to his state to supplement its unemployment fund. The money would've allowed for a $25 increase in benefits per week to the unemployed, who desperately need the money in these hard times. Some are saying that Jindal's move is an act of bold defiance paving the way for a 2012 Presidential run. Maybe that's true, but it's morally repugnant if pundits or voters will actually thank him for essentially telling his state's unemployed: Drop Dead.
