Resignation over Flyover Scare

There has been a resignation over the flyover scare that started the citizens of New York:

Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, handed in his resignation Friday. The news comes as Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the Air Force flyover that sparked a panic was not adequately reviewed and approved by senior service and department officials.

This is good, I am glad to see that someone is going to be held accountable. This whole incident is a failure on so many levels. First, it was a failure of good judgment. Second, it was an administrative failure. As indicated, it did not go through the proper channels. This underscores the need for good administrative accountability.

I do want to say this, even though it was a terrible failure, that is nice picture!
