Conservatives react with glee to 4th century justice

It's all fun and games until you find a country willing to do it as a matter of 4th century justice.

One of many common acts of medieval justice in Saudi Arabia:

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi authorities beheaded and crucified a man convicted of brutally slaying an 11-year-old boy and his father, the Interior Ministry announced.

According to the statement issued by the ministry Friday, shop owner Ahmed al-Anzi molested the boy and then strangled him with a length of rope. He then stabbed the boy's father to death when the man came looking for his son.

I'd hope that most decent people, despite our opposition to molestation and murder, would not exactly approve of public beheading and then crucifixion.

But then again, the members of FreeRepublic, a popular conservative dig, are not decent people. This is a few of their responses:

Why not just crucify him? Seems more fitting for that scumbag.

I love that even the hajis have their own Amnesty International idiots, too.

Here in the U.S. we DEFEND and EXALT them.

In fact we want our kindergartners to see them as “normal”

Well I fail to see why they did both. Either Behead him which is what I would have done. It gets the job done faster and the scum is off the planet earth faster. Or if you really have to, and I don’t want to, Crucify him and drag this out for days and days until he finally dies. I prefer to do him in quickly and be done with it.

“Broken clock Sharia justice.”

Yeah, even these vermin can get it right at least once in a while...I guess the ACLU hasn’t worked its magic there yet...

I've linked to the thread, so you can go and see for yourself -- not a single person who posted disagreed with anything the Saudis did, except for maybe leaving the body out for too long (it's a "public health hazard"!).

Wonderful people, those Freepers.
